Homework Should be Banned

You may think that this blog is biased. I am a student, and I can assure you that no student in history has ever liked homework. But I will try my best to be as impartial as possible.

Homework should be banned. After school, a student's last desire is to go back home and study again. The student may wish to explore something outside of school studies, like programming or art. If there is homework, the student either doesn't have time to do it or is too tired to do anything else.

A person might argue what schools should do about the leftover work. Well, the school should try to complete it in the allocated time. If that is not possible, do it the next day in school. Increase the time that a period takes and decrease another one which is not as far behind in the course as the previous one.

Again, there are some benefits of homework as well. The load on the teacher decreases as they do not have to do everything in a single period. The time the teacher has with the students can be used to teach the students something, and the menial work, like copying something in your notebook, can be done at home.

It all depends on the teacher's teaching speed and the student's learning pace.
