Humans are No Different

Humans keep comparing others to animals. “Hey, dude! You eat like an animal!” But aren’t we animals ourselves? We have evolved from apes. That is common knowledge. However, many, many humans fail to see that we are still apes. No matter the evolution. We still have their palms, hair in all the same places but less in size and number, and we are still four-limbed. The only difference is that they eat fruits, and I don’t. We are all one species right now, called  Homo sapiens,  but it wasn’t always like that. There used to be a lot of other species, but the most prominent ones at one point were  Neanderthals. Neanderthals  were big and muscular, kind of like NFL players. They didn’t have a brain as big as  Sapiens,  but they made up for it in strength. How, then, did  Sapiens  survive? It was language. Language is the best gift ever given to man. Without language, we would not be alive right now. With language, people were able to communicate....

NFTs: The Good and The Bad

A few months ago, NFTs were blowing up like crazy. Everybody wanted to invest in them, and it was the main talk for tech enthusiasts for months. They are handy and exciting but have quite a few drawbacks. First of all, what is an NFT? NFT stands for ‘Non-Fungible Token.’ Fungible means something that can be exchanged or replaced for the same value or divided into smaller pieces that add up to the same value. This has several advantages. If a person made digital art or videos and released them to the public instantly, they would lose all ownership over that product. This can be done by simple screenshotting or screen recording. But if the person releases it as an NFT, they would have complete ownership over that product. It doesn’t matter if someone screenshots it; the blockchain technology of NFTs...

Should Sports be Compulsory in School?

Sports are a significant aspect of life. Although they are necessary to learn essential life skills, some students may argue that they are wasting their time and that they should spend that time doing academics or something they want to build a future out of. I disagree with these students but to a certain extent. Sports help a student to know what it is like to be a part of a team. Teamwork can be done in a classroom, but how you get to know someone when your body is full of adrenaline cannot be compared. Sports also help students get a certain sense of discipline, which is impossible in academics. Physical exercise can also tire a person, resulting in a night of better and sounder sleep. Physical activity can also help prevent major diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and even certain types of cancer. Having said this, sports are only sometimes suitable for students. Injuries, ranging from a simple toe twist to a devastating ligament tear, have a higher probabi...
