Should Superheroes be Under Government Supervision?

Okay, imagine you're in a world of superheroes, swinging between buildings and trying to do what's right. Now, there's this talk about whether these heroes should be working for the government. Here's my take on it, considering what some heroes might say.

Look, heroes have their own moral compass, and tying them to government agendas might mess that up. If they're on the government payroll, they could end up doing things that serve politics instead of what's genuinely right. We want heroes making decisions based on what's best for everyone, not just what some suits want.

Plus, heroes often find themselves in messy situations where they gotta bend the rules to save the day. If they're tied to government paperwork, it could slow them down. Sometimes you gotta act fast, and bureaucracy doesn't do fast very well.

Imagine, Thanos is invading the world, and the Hulk first has to attend a council meeting to decide whether the Avengers should fight Thanos or not. Even if you do put a VETO power in place for situations like this, to what extent can the person holding the VETO power use this? Who decides who gets the VETO power? Will it be a singular person or a country? The person holding the VETO power will be the most powerful (wo)man on Earth, who will be able to control the world’s superheroes; will the general public really trust a government official to have this kind of power?

And let's talk about power. We've seen how it can corrupt. If heroes are under government control, there's a risk they could lose their independence and become just another piece in the bureaucratic puzzle. We need them to stay true to their cause, not become government yes-men.

In the end, it's like this massive jigsaw puzzle where each piece represents a choice heroes make. Should they punch the clock for the government or keep flying solo? Considering the moral maze they navigate, it seems like tying heroes to the government might not be the best move.
