Mr. Clutch, The Logo, and Mr. Outside
I have been a crazy fan of the NBA for nearly 4 years now. Funnily enough, the league itself did not grab my attention, but in fact, it was NBA 2k20, which my brother bought because it was on sale. He was familiar with the NBA, but I had no clue it even existed. After downloading this gigantic game, we grabbed our controllers and played our first game ever (after the tutorial, of course). He chose All-Time Warriors, and I chose All-Time Lakers. After just 2 quarters, I was in love with, not the game, but the players. Kobe’s' mid range. Magic’s playmaking. Shaq’s unbelievable dominance.
But the player I made 33 points and 11 assists with was Jerry West. His incredible shooting, playmaking, and inside game just made him work. Combine that with making the defenders dance like they were in a club and being able to guard someone twice his size, and you have The Logo.
Mr. Clutch was known to be extremely, extremely competitive. He is the only player in NBA history to be named the Finals MVP while being on the losing team. This feat requires the highest level of dedication and drive possible, combined with amazing skill and 0 luck.
As an executive for the Lakers, I have him to thank for one of the greatest duos of the NBA: Shaq and Kobe. He was also working as a consultant for the Warriors during their run which obliterated the league, further adding to his 11 foot resume.
